Every day, I spend time meditating on and physically feeling my Earth connection.
Even though I live in a city, there is always an opportunity to walk in a park, hug a tree, smell a flower, pet an animal, look up at the sky and marvel at the radiant sun and the parade of clouds in shifting shapes.
I am an artist because I love the Earth. I love Nature and all the beautiful forms of life there are to see in the world. Art is my language for responding to Life, recording and expressing my feelings, and studying what fascinates me.
Creating art is an act of peace in a world that has been too ravaged by war. Creating art brings peace to my heart. Images I create bring peace to others.
Human beings have been led astray, by consumerism and greed, to destroy many forms of life on the planet. If we are in harmony with nature, and live in a state of wonderment and awe of this world, then we will be better care-takers of the Earth, and we will have more peace.
If we are taught to be creative, and make things by hand in ways that don't harm others, then we won't need to perpetuate the cycle of greed and destruction. We will be more conscious and appreciative of the abundance we already have.
LOVE OUR MOTHER EARTH.
